Yard buildings

Yard buildings is a continuation of Alfamer's series of building books. The book contains work explanations of the described construction sites and updated information on materials, supplies and building permit issues as well as surface treatment, foundations and covering. In the book, you will also find tips on recycling materials and new, slightly different construction methods.

The purpose has been to make yard buildings using different wood materials and without special tools. The most important tools have been a saw and a battery-powered screwdriver.

Since 2003, engineer Markku Koivuniemi and master's degree in engineering Raimo Niemelä have written several books for Alfamer about yard construction. Now the team has been joined by civil engineer Markku Heikkilä, who has solid experience in designing and making wooden structures.
