Description

This is a story about the "life" of a tractor in Finland 1900-2000, from steam-powered to the first machines equipped with a combustion engine. The first was Kullervo, made in Finland. After that, the winning streak of Fordson tractors from the United States to Finland began. At that time, there were about 20 different brands of tractors on sale in Finland.

After the war, Vaasa, Takra and Valmet tractors were manufactured in Finland, which were, however, more expensive than David Brown, Ford and Nuffield imported from Britain. In the 1950s, Lanz, Deutz, Fahr, Hanomag, MAN and Porsche tractors came to Finland from Germany. After that, the popularity of the Finnish company Valmet grew, and today, under the name Valtra, it holds first place.

The book also tells about work machines attached to tractors, which are used in both agriculture and forestry.
