Description

SPRING 2024 NEW BOOK OUT!

Nuffield and its successor Leyland can with good reason be described as the noblemen of the tractor world. The founder of the factory, William Morris, was ennobled as Lord Nuffield in 1934. Nuffield tractors came to Finland in the Olympic year 1952. It was soon noticed that Nuffield was the right one for forest sites and as a basic machine for excavators.

This book tells the history of Nuffield tractors from the very early years and the first prototypes all the way to Leyland tractors. Pictures of factory prototypes are included. Although Nuffield production ended 55 years ago, the tractor brand has quite a solid fanbase in Finland. Although Nuffield tractors are no longer a daily sight in the fields, their legacy lives on.

This book takes readers on a journey back to a time when the Nuffield tractor was more than just a machine. The book about the history and technology of Nuffield-Leyland tractors is written by Pekka Myyry.
